Happy Bday, Monopoly!

After the successful launch of the Monopoly GO! app in 2023, 2024 called for a celebration — and we were back at it. This time, organizing the anniversary. Similar to what we’d done before, just bigger and more spectacular. Challenge accepted.

We packed our bags and headed to Algarve, Portugal, where we had exclusive use of the hotel — which we completely customized to become the game itself. We took over the entire space. At reception, the game’s main character welcomed the 350+ attendees. A giant, fully branded tent crowned the garden next to a pool filled with pink and purple Monopoly money floaties, with flags waving high above as the backdrop.

This was the setting for five days full of activities: from sailing Portuguese waters to traveling through the galaxy.

On the first night, we hosted an icebreaker to kick off the teambuilding, which ended in a Portuguese-themed evening with local cuisine and live music. The second night was the gala, featuring the now-legendary awards ceremony on an art-deco stage inspired by the game itself. For the final night, we went even further — the theme was the universe, with space travel vibes, international gastronomy, NASA-worthy decor, and a lineup that was out of this world.
